Size matters… but does it?

I know what you’re thinking about the title, but no, I don’t mean that. Currently I’m going through a process of a lifestyle change. I hate the word DIET. You may as well say to yourself Oh, I’m going on a “Diet…AGAIN” as the last one didn’t last. I’ve been there. I’ve failed that. So I wanted to do something that’s going to:

1. Help my health

2. Loose weight

3. Bring back my confidence.

4. Learn to love myself

5. Keep up my fitness.

The answer isn’t a miracle coffee, drink or pill. If you want it you have to put the effort in.

At the end of the day I have done this to my body. No one has spoon fed me to gain weight. I am my own worst enemy but my size does not define who I am as a person.

Now I am 6weeks into my lifestyle change and I must say…. I feel bloody fantastic! 😆

I’ve gymmed 4-5 times a week and enjoyed it! However, I did slightly hurt my knees but instead of not going I went and did my upper body instead. I meal prep now. I don’t have a set meal plan, I just choose more wisely what I put in my mouth.

I’ve added more Quorn into my diet as personally meat for me has always been a picky area. I eat some but barely any if that makes sense.

I am obsessed with courgetti 🙌🏻 Yummy! My latest meal alternative was

Quorn Bolognese 😋

1x packet of Quorn Mince.
1x Onion
2x Tinned tomatoes
1/4 tomato puree
Chilli flakes ( sprinkle them to your liking )
1 large courgette

Add cracked black pepper to your liking

Super easy and super tasty!

I made a side of parsnip chips with a little drizzle of honey on.

Coming back to my title. My main point is we all have GOALS. No matter how big or small. The truth is, we are all our own person. Nothing should shock you there. My goal will be different from yours. I don’t want to be “Skinny” I want to be fit and healthy. I want to wake up and look in the mirror and be positive about my image not slander myself. Society does that enough.

Life’s too short to put yourself down and trust me I’ve wasted years on doing that.

Recently I’ve also filtered people out my life. Some were very negative and always had a way to pull me down. Some just mentally drained me. I realised I’m too good of a person to allow that in my life. It’s my life and I can choose which way I walk my path.

I have some very close friendships with a handful of wonderful people and when I use the word “Handful”, I mean it. I know a lot of people who fall into the acquaintances category which is also fine. This is life after all. Treat people how you want to be treated.

I recently watched an insightful video which helped to ground me.

Please watch this video and you will understand what’s important. I’ve watched a couple of Meir Kays videos on YouTube lately. They are short and powerful. I would highly recommend if you need to ground yourself to watch them. Links below:

Sometimes we think our problems are the biggest things in our lives, but the truth is you make the problem the size it is.

Another great example of Meir Kay’s work:

How heavy is this glass? The longer you hold onto it the heavier it becomes, just like stress. Problems are just unnecessary issues we hold onto.

If you have a spare 10mins please youtube this Guy! You’ll leave with a new positive outlook on life.
